Acey
is an artist in her mid-twenties originally from Pasadena,
California. She is currently a Senior at Pacific Northwest
College of Art where she is majoring in General Fine Arts.
She is particularly drawn to water media - watercolor, gouache,
pen & ink - which she believes may be due to her being
a Scorpio.
Acey lives in SE Portland with her boyfriend,
an oil painter, Marcus Gannuscio (www.reallygoodpaintings.com),
and their
two rescue dogs: Maggie, an 8-year-old Pit Bull, and Jasper,
a 4-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog.
When she isn't making art Acey enjoys napping with the dogs,
pontificating about art with Marcus, listening to non-fiction
audio-books, watching sitcoms from the '90s, and eating as
many kinds of white chocolate she can get her hands on in
an attempt to find the tastiest. She collects piggy banks,
bottle caps, elephant knick-knacks and low-top Converse.

Whether
it be drawing, dancing, writing, singing, sculpting,
baking or basket-weaving, I feel that art is an important
and necessary outlet for those who have that overwhelming
urge to create it. I know I'd go mad without it.
