on the importance of art:

In today's changing global marketplace everyone needs the ability to learn, adapt, innovate and create regardless of your type of work. I believe everyone is born an artist and it basically gets "schooled" out us . Telling stories and creating is what defines us as humans. It is time we approach learning and teaching as a whole brain activity. Learning is not only about reading, writing and arithmetic. It is time to get back to play, experimentation and right brain synthesis. It is time to value the artist in our society and within ourselves.
