I am an artist who is inspired by the city of Portland. Wet streets, foggy views, traffic lights, headlights and overhead wires are my muse. Working from photographs, often taken in the rain, or early in the morning I explore the beauty of the scene. I also paint outside, en plein air, often along the river - or in town. I find that the two approaches (studio and on-site)complement one another, and enrich my use of color, gesture, and paint. |

Exploring
our weird human condition is best done (in my opinion)
through writing poetry, creating artwork, dancing, or
playing music. It is the best thing about being here,
being human - this chance to look deeper and delve into
the mysteries of existence.
