| bio: |
As a devotee of outdoor sports, I love exploring and encountering the unexpected. In retrospect, the most memorable experiences seem to be those where I was unexpectedly challenged or nearly lost. My background in art includes lots of studying and some marketing, but what it's really about for me is going to an unknown place. The art piece may be at least roughly planned and based on sketches or photos, but the end result is something I can't completely predict. I always learn something from the process and that's why I do it. |

the importance of art: |
Art
is educational in a non-logical way, making us look more
deeply and from unfamiliar angles. Art requires some
stillness and letting go of habitual views to allow its
insights to be recognized.
