| bio: |
I began painting late in life, following a career in business, but during those years I observed people's faces and would think about their features and where the shadows fell when the head moved. When I eventually began to paint I was off and running and although it is a constant and ever-changing challenge, it also flows with some ease from within. I am primarily an oil and encaustic painter, most often painting from live models. |

the importance of art: |
Daily tasks require time and effort, and also
deplete energy and tire the spirit. Whether one is a performing
artist or someone who enjoys art vicariously, the mind and
body are refreshed and enlightened during creative art processes
and experiences.
