bio: I am fascinated by the way in which the geometric shapes of the bridges’ steel girders frame the landscape of the city, and I admire the subject of bridges and their engineering – how little we celebrate the wonderful achievements of engineering and design in our city bridges. I create paintings of the bridges from unusual points of view, giving them a dramatic perspective, which renders them both realistic and abstract at the same time.
on the importance of art:

Historically, all down the ages, art in its many forms has been the pure embodiment of the great spiritual core of all that made any society or culture great. What remains of the art of the past is the way by which we truly know the past. Similarly the art of our time is not only the way by which the future shall know, judge, and value us, but it is the way by which we may know our selves.
