bio: I am a mid life artist living in the Willamette Valley. I acquired a degree in painting and drawing in the 70's and went on to pursue graduate work in photography. I currently merge both disciplines onto canvas. As a figurative painter and art educator I joined the Working Artist team at GOLDEN Artist Colors in 1999. I have extensive training in Acrylic Paint systems and love to teach traditional and contemporary process in the Northwest.
on the importance of art:

Art is the center of the human experience. Touch, sight and sound all define the construction of our souls. A life without the nuance of color, light, shape, line, texture, rhythm, intensity, pattern and contrast could not easily be defined. What stories would we tell?
