| bio: |
I
was born in Oregon in 1943. I studied at the Museum Art
School in Portland (1961-62), the Vancouver (BC) School
of Art (1965-66), and intermittently at PNCA (1998-1995.
I received a BA in art from Marylhurst in 2006. My professional
experience includes illustration and showing of work in
watercolor, pastel, and oil in several juried exhibitions.
I reside in southeast Portland. Besides making art, I love
outdoor sports such as hiking and orienteering. |

the importance of art: |
Art
is educational in a non-logical way, making us look
more deeply and from unfamiliar angles. Art requires
some stillness and letting go of habitual views to
allow its insights to be recognized.
